The South Carolina Historical Society’s Winter Lecture series resumes after last weeks snow-ice storm cancellation.
“Richard Furman: Minister, Educator, Patriot” presented by Courtney Tollison Hartness, Ph.D.

Saturday, February 8th

8:30 am-12:30 pm
10th Annual The African American Family History Workshop offers three classes and a keynote address on Camp Meetings

11:00 am – 4:oo pm
The South Carolina Historical Society holds it annual meeting.


February 6th-8th

RootsTech 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah

Where You’ll Find Me

I’ll be working furiously in the office early this week clearing room in the schedule to enjoy the RootsTech streaming. Wednesday I’ll be in the Charleston County Public Library’s South Carolina Room from 10 am until 3 pm working on a survey of city directories and researching a blog post on “Marriage Records and A Reasonably Exhaustive Search.”
