The Who Hunter: New Location – New Direction!

A New Location

Real estate transactions are uncertain so I can’t tell you yet where or when I’ll be moving. The important thing to know, should I move in 2 months or 2 years, New York is already in the rear view mirror of my heart. The last 18 months have been the most amazing learning experience for me and I have you all to thank for that. My sincere appreciation and gratitude for your business, support and friendship.

A New Direction

Regular visitors will have noticed most of the site’s content has been recently removed. The New Direction is a move away from a regional focus on Orange County Genealogy Resources. The practice of genealogy is itself changing dramatically with technology, resource availablity and social media creating an entirely new research dynamic. I want to discuss with you the great, the good, the bad and even the ugliest aspects of that change. And in the process, maybe we can shape the transformation together.

Let the Chaos Begin

First things first. The next couple of months will be crazy so that New Direction will have to wait until I get to the New Location. Until then, I look forward to introducing you to some of the folks I’m following and aggregating interesting genealogy content.

Queue the next adventure! I hope you’ll stick around for it,

Rorey Cathcart

sweet! nice find! I still get lots of similar emlias and have instances where my mother and grandmother have made phone contact with long lost relatives or ones they never knew of course, I have gotten a few of the opposite reaction too where they demanded I take them off my tree because I was risking their security by posting their name on a (gasp) internet site
